Dear Chrysanthemum Grower,

We have added over 80 new varieties this year, making this one of the best selections of young Chrysanthemum plants available. Many people at shows last year asked us for Fantasy varieties, so we have added a complete range of these spectacular blooms for you to try.

As always, all of the young plants that we will be sending out are propagated, from clean stock plants, here on our nursery in Cheshire. We use a new type of paper plug, which bio-degrades quickly and does not restrict the roots of the cuttings. Therefore, you always receive top quality plants, that will grow away quickly, to give you the best start to your Chrysanthemum growing season.

Also new this year, we have a range of Micro Propagated Nuclear Stock. If you grow for exhibiting, these plants will undoubtedly give you the edge over your competitors. Click here for full details.

We are delighted to announce that Reg Lawrence, who founded R. F. Lawrence and Sons, our parent company, has been awarded the National Chrysanthemum Society's (NCS) Silver Medal for his services to the Chrysanthemum.

This is one of the highest awards made by the Society and recognises Reg's 50 plus years of growing Chrysanthemums, and also the support Chrysanthemums Direct has given to the NCS in recent years.

Reg is pictured receiving his award from Terry Porter, the National Chrysanthemum Society's President, at their AGM in Swansea on the 24th March 2012.

Grower of the Year Awards 2012

This annual contest is organised by Horticulture Week and Grower in association with Asda and the National Farmers' Union. The Awards celebrate the very best in UK production horticulture.
